FRENCH POP AND DELICATE SONGS

From classy pop to sophisticated rock and sensual songs, Nyna Valès is fully involved in the renewal of French song.
Discovered by ELLE magazine in 2010 as "the most glamorous duo from Nantes at the moment", they have multiplied collaborations such as, "Rencontres Indiennes", a dialogue between French pop and Indian classical music, in septet or their latest creation "JOKKO" in Senegal!

«"Breaking free from stereotypical formats and current trends, Nyna Valès imposes her sophisticated repertoire with sensuality and great sensitivity." Longueur d'Ondes

«"Yann Savel, who wrote all the lyrics and music for the romance, deserves a huge round of applause, as it all sounds so true, sensitive, and light, like a waking dream." - Place Publique

The musical project "Nyna Valès, African Encounters"« This is a musical dialogue between two French musicians and two musicians from Cameroon and Senegal. Yann Savel and Nathalie Carudel (France) will sing in French, while Simon Nwambeben (Cameroon), playing African percussion, will sing in Bafia, the Bantu language of Cameroon. The kora, an emblematic instrument of West Africa, will also be showcased thanks to the virtuosity of Sadio Sissokho (Senegal).

A blend of strings, texts, languages, styles, instrumental timbres, sometimes written, sometimes improvised, where acoustic and electronic music come together like a hyphen between eras and cultures.

Yann Savel: classical guitar – vocals – lyrics and compositions, Nathalie Carudel: vocals – theremin – electronic instruments, Simon Nwambeben: vocals – percussion, Cheikh Yancouba Diebate: kora

A musical dialogue between French song and traditional African music

Between his personal repertoire and new compositions, Yann Savel will be responsible for all the French songs and the musical production of this new project. Simon Nwambeben, on vocals and African percussion, will provide his counterpart in the Bafia language, a traditional dialect of the Bontous people of Cameroon.

Acoustic and electronic music will converge, forming a bridge between eras and cultures. This dialogue will be enriched by the vibrant voice of Nathalie Carudel and the musicality and virtuosity of Cissokho on the kora, an emblematic instrument of West Africa.

A mix of strings, texts, languages, styles, instrumental timbres, music sometimes written, sometimes improvised, for a harmonious and unusual musical marriage.
