1989. In the impoverished housing projects of Seine-Saint-Denis (93), a group of friends found a means of expression through the hip-hop movement, which had just arrived in France. After dance and graffiti, JoeyStarr and Kool Shen began writing rap lyrics imbued with the simmering anger in the suburbs. Their feverish rhythms and rebellious lyrics quickly galvanized crowds and… brought them into conflict with the authorities. But no matter, Suprême NTM was born, and with it, French rap made a spectacular debut!
