Since 1996, La Cité des Rocheuses promotes cultural enrichment as well as the intercultural and multidisciplinary dialogues in French in Calgary and its region. The City of the Rockies presents and coordinates events with a cultural, artistic and community focus and offer of numerous services.

Diversity and inclusion

La Cité des Rocheuses fostering a community in which diversity is essential and where people from all walks of life are recognized and respected. We are committed to creating a inclusive environment that welcomes diversity in as many aspects as possible, including race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, socioeconomic status, class, and religion. We also recognize that the territory on which we meet is a territory of treaty 7, a traditional meeting place for many indigenous peoples, including the Siksikas, Kainai, Piikani, Stoneys-Nakodas and Tsuut'ina.

We strive to ensure that our members and clients from diverse backgrounds and with varied perspectives are well served in our community center. We encourage, within our community, the free exchange of ideas that contribute to the understanding of diversity and multicultural awareness.
