FIRST FRANCOQUEER FLAG RAISING IN CALGARY

The City of the Rockies is pleased to support the first FrancoQueer Albertan flag-raising ceremony, in collaboration with the’ACFA Calgary Regional, L'’ACFA provincial and the FrancoQueer Committee of the West (CFQO).

This event will mark a historic step in the recognition and celebration of identities. French speakers And 2SLGBTQIA+ in Alberta. On the occasion of the Pride Month, This annual ceremony will pay tribute to the richness of these identities and their intersection, by raising the Alberta FrancoQueer flag for the first time.

The ceremony will be held in the municipal square located at 800 MacLeod Trail SE. Dignitaries and representatives of Francophone organizations and institutions will speak to emphasize the importance of this symbolic and inclusive act.

Our director will have the honor of presiding over the ceremony..
