Lecture: Glaciers by Jean-François Delhom

Organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of Switzerland in Vancouver, This lecture in French invites you to delve into the fascinating world of glaciers through the images and reflections of the Swiss photographer. Jean-François Delhom.

«"Faced with the disappearance of glaciers, why show their nobility rather than their agony? A reflection on contemplation as a counter-power."»

About the conference

Glaciers offer a hidden world, explored by ice speleologists, of surprising diversity and striking beauty. In the context of an ecological crisis, how can we raise awareness without discouraging people? For Delhom, recognizing the dignity of glaciers is an act of care and commitment: we must learn to love this world to find the motivation to protect it.

Duration : ~35 min + discussion (~15 min)
Audience : General public, artists, activists…
