FCFC23: It makes you want to move!

This selection of six dynamic and colorful animated shorts offers children aged six to nine a program full of songs and classics that will make them want to move! It includes the hilarious The cat stuck…by Cordell Barker, a short film inspired by a folk song where an old man fails to get rid of an ugly little yellow cat; Masquerade  by Co Hoedeman, which illustrates various approaches to creativity on music by Normand Roger; Black flies  Christopher Hinton, a humorous film based on a popular song by Wade Hemsworth adapted into French by sisters Kate and Anna McGarrigle and performed by Marcel Aymar; Canada vignettes: the waltz of the master log driver  John Weldon, who takes us on a frantic dance to the rhythm of a song performed by the McGarrigle sisters; The blackbird  Norman McLaren, a paper-cut animation following the amusing rhythm of a folk song performed by the Trio lyrique; and MacPherson  by Martine Chartrand, who captures the song of the same name signed by Félix Leclerc and explores the latter's friendship with Frank Randolph Macpherson, a Jamaican chemical engineer who inspired this song on the log drive.
