French-language music is hitting the road and making a stop in Calgary!

Since its creation in Montreal in 1987, French-language favorite celebrates song in all its diversity and promotes the discovery of new voices, new worlds and new ways of keeping French-language music alive.

Every November, the festival takes over Montreal and nearby 45 Canadian cities, bringing together artists from the national and international scene around a program focused on emergence, audacity and creation.

In Calgary, this great adventure of French-language song continues with Damien Robitaille, accompanied in the opening act by Meera Sylvain.

A singer-songwriter renowned for his humor, boundless energy, and songs that are as intelligent as they are irresistible, Damien Robitaille has become an essential figure in French-language music in Canada.

On stage, he offers a generous, funny and unifying show, where song meets humor and where each piece becomes an invitation to sing, smile and celebrate music.

The evening will begin with Meera Sylvain, who will come to present his musical universe and open the stage to a new voice of French-language song.

The first part is fully in keeping with the spirit of A Francophone favorite: showcasing the artists of today and tomorrow and creating encounters between audiences and Francophone creativity.

A pan-Canadian adventure

Created in 1995, the component traveling festival The Coup de cœur francophone award is based on a Pan-Canadian network which today brings together ten partners at the heart of Francophone communities.

From one ocean to the other, across six time zones, this network allows approximately 200 shows to circulate from the Atlantic to the Pacific. It offers a showcase for Francophone creation and facilitates the movement of artists, particularly those from Francophone minority communities.

Coup de cœur francophone is therefore much more than a festival: it is a great journey through French-language song. An opportunity to circulate artists, bring audiences closer together and showcase the richness and diversity of Francophone creativity throughout the country.

And this year, Calgary is in!
