As a non-profit organization, we need your help! The volunteering activities at La Cité des Rocheuses offer a wide range of possibilities, depending on your time, skills and expectations.

The missions we entrust you with match your tastes and skills. All reasons are good to volunteer for an activity. Try and determine yours!

Your volunteer activity will be all the more interesting and useful as it appeals to your qualities and talents. We all have some. Determine yours, go beyond your diplomas, and put them at the service of a rewarding activity. 

Here are a few leads to help you:

  • You get along well with children,
  • You master French grammar, a foreign language, a school subject,
  • You need to exert yourself,
  • You’re a good listener, open to people, not judgemental,
  • You know how to lead a group, make people laugh,
  • You’re resourceful or handy,
  • You have a training or special skill: first aid, cooking, management, you’re a musician, a jurist, a mechanic…,

Do you prefer team or individual activities?

From a few hours a month to a part-time activity, volunteering calls on all types of availability, including punctual ones. Think first about the days and time you can fully commit to an activity.

Being a volunteer in Francophony in Calgary

 

Bilingual people’s wishes may vary. They want to learn, practice their skills and talents, share or practice French, challenge themselves, acquire new knowledge and skills and develop their social network. Volunteering can answer these wishes!

 

Volunteers can bring a bilingual aspect to our events! They can help an organization forge stronger and larger bonds in the community et be excellent ambassador for organizations to promote bilingualism.

 

This program favors vitality and community inclusion.

 

It allows volunteers to broaden their networking in Calgary and to develop a sense of belonging in their community. They can also convey their knowledge and reinforce their aptitude in French, during our events.
